🐸 American Green Tree Frog

Where they live:

• Southeastern United States

• Marshes, ponds, wetlands, backyard vegetation

What they look like:

• Bright leaf-green body

• White or yellow stripe along the side

• Slim build, 2–2.5 inches long

Personality & behavior:

• Active climbers

• Loud, cheerful nighttime callers

• Skittish but curious

Diet:

• Small insects (crickets, flies, moths)

Fun fact:
They’re excellent at camouflage and can shift slightly in color depending on light and stress.
